Betting apps, one shop at a time
A rating out of five means nothing until you know which country's storefront it was read in. The same app scores differently in Ghana and in Nigeria, and half the numbers circulating about these brands belong to a listing by a publisher with no connection to them. Every figure below carries its shop.
The table
| Bookmaker | Platforms | Rating | Ratings counted | Size | Read in |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SportyBet line 5 | iOS and Android | 4.4 / 5 | 121,000 | not published | the Google Play listing for the Ghana package |
| Betway line 6 | iOS and Android | 4.2 / 5 | 2,420 | not published | the Google Play listing published by Sports Betting Group Ghana |
| 1xBet off the slip | iOS and Android | 4 / 5 | 2,725 | not published | the Google Play listing published by Clickwell Ghana |
| BetFox line 7 | Android | not published | not published | 0.31 MB | the direct APK the operator publishes on its own site |
| MSport line 1 | iOS and Android | 4.5 / 5 | not published | not published | Google Play, fetched against the Ghana storefront |
| Bangbet off the slip | iOS and Android | 4.3 / 5 | 347 | 37.9 MB | the Apple App Store Ghana storefront |
| betPawa line 4 | iOS and Android | 4 / 5 | 221 | 17.8 MB | the Google Play Ghana storefront |
| Melbet off the slip | iOS and Android | 3.2 / 5 | 292 | 261.3 MB | the Apple App Store Ghana storefront |
| 22Bet off the slip | Android | not published | not published | not published | the direct APK, because no official listing exists in either store |
| Betwinner off the slip | Android | not published | not published | not published | the Ghana-specific Google Play listing |
| Soccabet line 3 | iOS and Android | 4.2 / 5 | 1,250 | 33 MB | Google Play, with the size taken from the App Store because Play no longer publishes one |
A missing rating count is not an oversight. Several of these apps publish a global total across five markets, and welding that to a Ghana-scoped rating would be two quantities under one label. Where the pair could not be taken from the same shop on the same day, the cell is empty.
The books with no app
Premier Bet and Wiwi Casino ship nothing to either store, and at least one of them settles through agents rather than through a wallet at all. A mobile site is not a lesser product in this market: it is what a large share of Ghanaian punters use by choice, on handsets where a 250 MB download is a real cost.
Whatever you install, the number that decides what the games give back is not in the store listing. It is inside each game, on its own information panel, and this site holds it for none of these books. Four taps, once, before you stake.
About the apps
- Which betting app is best in Ghana?
- A store rating measures how people feel about an app, which is a different question from what the games inside it give back. This site weighs the second heavily and holds no figure for it anywhere, so it does not turn a rating into a recommendation. What the table gives you is which figures exist and which shop each one is from.
- Why is a book not on Google Play?
- two of these ship a direct download from their own site instead. That is a platform rule about real-money gambling apps rather than a judgement on the operator. Take the file from the bookmaker's own domain and from nowhere else.
- Why do some rows have no download size?
- Because the only size available described a different build. An iOS binary and an Android package are two different artefacts, and welding one to the other's rating is the mistake this table exists to avoid. five of eleven rows carry a size we would stand behind.
- Do apps pay out faster than the website?
- Nothing in our records supports that claim either way. What some of these books do publish is an offer that only qualifies on a deposit made inside the app, which is a different thing and is on the offer pages.
